Why We Can not Get Enough American Idol

We are now well over the last 12 American Idol 2006 is in full swing, and as Randy Jackson says: "We have a medium dog."

When my wife and I sit down to watch every night, we can not help but in. Even my kids love the 3:04 ½, what they call "The Singing Call show be pulled." Among all this interest, I am clueless, why?

Every year is the same size, same Motley Crue judges, Ryan Seacrest himself. And the joke between Seacrest and Simon Cowell isPredictably, we see it coming one mile away. Paula Abdul is always soft, said the sensuality of people like Ace Young makes us really wonder who was telling the truth - her or Cory Clark. Randy Jackson offers his "It 's been Aaaiight" or "was pitchy in some parts." Or call the "refuge" and called guffales, and chortels choodles. I'm really not sure what Jackson says - next year I want a decoder key language Jackson. Cowell And, well, he isoften always honest, sometimes brutal, and uses the word "too terrible.

I still wonder, because I am - and shows every pocket more than U.S. demographics - agreed that the singer with courage, ambition, has a little 'talent, and some stage presence and turns them into international pop icons?

Well, I have thought long and hard about this. And I think that is one thing. Transfer: We all see a bit 'of ourselves or anyone who wanted or thought we couldor would like to be a combatant or another. It gives us the unique opportunity to share their dreams be the next American Idol - The next pop icon.

Search on multiple levels.

First is diversity, is an idol, with which everyone can relate to us. We have Ace Young, young, handsome, probably too serious to be taken as a talented singer, probably better as an actor 25 years. It needs to attract younger and middle-aged. My wife also said that "he isbeautiful. "It is able to offer a contradictory point of view, because I would obviously be wrong, I can only say:" You know, you're right. "

Then he looks Mandisa. Yes, it's great, but the girl can sing. Reminiscent of Aretha Franklin, has a beautiful smile. We can not help but be attracted to her.

It Covington Bucky. He has that raspy, kinda Southern, kinda cowboy swagger. There are other boys with blond hair wearing a cowboy hat, then yes, he iscertain demographic.

Katherine McPhee has a beautiful voice and smile, and is very willing to devote their talent is obvious. The theater geeks love it.

Paris Bennett has so many looks that I really wonder if the same person. It can be a true spectacle. I thought it was sweet, but now I think it is proud and happy to try and win this thing.

Taylor Hicks are dance steps ... Well, I'm not sure what they are. It's like Joe Cocker and Bob Seger on too much caffeineor something. It is something of an anomaly, but it is very nice and has a complaint.

Elliot Yamin is so close to his mother. The man wears an insulin pump for diabetes in a battle each day. Are not really a fan, but my heart bleeds for him, I can not help but respect his dexterity regardless of how he sings. How about Kellie Pickler? That Simon called it 'a bit cheeky beast? " And she said, asked what it was. Come on, boys 16-40 want to explain in detail. The skin,QRS has been careful what blond younger fathers. Oh, what I ask: "Can she sing?" Really, it still important?

We rockers, represented originally by Chris Daughtry. Sure, Simon was not crazy about performance Chris' this week. But the guy is intense, and pulls the bald thing really well. He is not very noble, but it is classic - and rocks.

Idol offers validation and importance to us all. The home side shows the icons of pop music every week.Last year we had Elton John. Last week, a modern twist, Shakira and Wyclef Jean. This year we started with Stevie Wonder, Barry Manilow then. Or love or hate them, really are legends and truly influenced R & B, pop, soul, and now provides samples and hooks, keep us jamming on your iPod today. Listen to their songs takes us back to the days when we first heard - 70, 80 and 90. They provide the nostalgia of the days and times gone by andput back into the excitement of another era.

American Idol allows us to transfer the subscriber experience there. We can live their joy at the beginning of the world when you hear "You're not in the bottom three." Unfortunately, we share their disappointment when Seacrest said: "This is the end of the road for you."

We refer to them, their accents, race, style, smile, personality and talent. For a moment in each song to transfer to be ourselvesStage to share with them that, in the spotlight. And for a few seconds for the transfer by, we are American Idol, the next pop icon. Every fear stress and pain of everyday life are gone, and everything is right in our world.

This, my friends, is the secret behind the success of American Idol. It offers each of us an opportunity to escape our everyday life, becoming a star. The American psyche can not resist the opportunity of a star, an American icon, even if only for a moment.

AAfter a long day, there's nothing wrong.
