"Alternative 3" was the last film of the prestigious "Science Report" by Anglia Television in England on 1 April 1977 made. Within an hour of transmission of the television station was a hurried statement saying that the show was a hoax.

The agent told us that the author was indeed fiction.
We wrote to the author himself to try to get the real story, and here is the letter you sent us.
